Anne Sorhagen has joined the North Carolina Community Foundation as a regional director for the southeastern, according to Sally Migliore, director of community leadership.

Sorhagen has management responsibilities for NCCF’s affiliate foundations in Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender, Robeson and Sampson counties. She develops and supports the affiliate boards’ work to grow philanthropy, build endowments and administer local grantmaking in their counties. NCCF has eight regional directors who oversee affiliate activities in areas that directly serve counties across the state.

Sorhagen comes to NCCF with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having held leadership positions for statewide nonprofits as well as in her local community. She has served as a member of the board of directors for Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina and Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association and is an active member of the Women’s Impact Network of New Hanover County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and history from Meredith College.

“We are delighted to have someone with Anne’s leadership in the nonprofit sector join the NCCF team,” said Migliore.
